Talleen Hacikyan is a printmaker, illustrator and art educator, with 35 years of professional experience. She received an Honors BA in Anthropology from McGill University and a BA in Fine Arts and Fine Arts Education from Université du Québec à Montréal.
She has exhibited extensively in Canada and internationally in over eighty solo and juried group shows. In 2013 she had a major solo exhibition at The Armenian Museum of America, in Watertown, Massachusetts. Her work is included in many collections including Alcan, Loto-Quebec, Banque nationale du Quebec and Domtar.
Printmkaing awards include the Speedball Purchase Award (2015), the Pratt and Whitney Canada Pierre Henry Prize, (1993), and the Loto-Quebec Printmaking Prize (1992), She was also awarded the Gelette Burgess Children's Book Award (2013).
She lives in Montreal and has been a member of Atelier Circulaire printmaking studio since 1985.
